I sat down (literally) with my friend Misha in early December on a snowy Sunday morning. We met in an Opera Workshop class when I was in my third year of university and bonded pretty early on about our love for the “pop” sphere of music (generally in the realm of classically-trained musicians, this term refers to any music that is not in the classical realm) and the aspects of our own writing practices. It was not an immediately strong bond, but blossomed over the years as we admired each other’s practices from afar.
In this episode we discuss the creative process through all stages. We discuss a range of topics including genius, Beethoven, top 40 music, nature, and physics. Come revel in the spirit of our time together here.
